Prof. Suzana Nunes has been elected as a 2025 Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences, recognizing her exceptional contributions to chemistry. She has made significant advancements in the development of polymeric materials and membranes, driving sustainable solutions for separations in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and petrochemical industries, as well as for water purification. Her work plays a vital role in enabling a zero-discharge, low-carbon footprint economy. Beyond her research, Prof. Nunes is well known for her commitment to higher education and for mentoring a new generation of scientists in Brazil, Germany, and Saudi Arabia.
